Only one more person was diagnosed with coronavirus in Kishoreganj in the last 24 hours till Sunday night.
With the latest one, the number of Covid-19 patients in the district stood at 176.
Dr Md Mujibur Rahman, civil surgeon of the district, confirmed the development, saying the newly identified patient is from Sadar upazila.
“A total of 228 samples were sent to Dhaka on Thursday for test. We’ve so far received results of 113 samples and found one of them to be infected with coronavirus,” he added.
Among the total confirmed cases, three were identified after their death.
Bangladesh has so for recorded 5,416 cases and 145 deaths from the deadly virus.
